Limited Edition Spring Toadstool Illustrated Mini-Pin
(£3 each)
Starting off the shop blog with one of my own personal favourite items, the Spring Toadstool Mini-Pin. I loved making these! There are only nine of these bright colourful fungi but the plain version, along with my two other mini pin designs (to be showcased shortly!), will be a permanent fixture in the shop. Mini pins are a really great way of getting maximum value out of the shrink plastic sheets as a couple of them can always be squeezed on to each offcut and scrap leftover from cutting out the bigger designs. Economy! Efficiency! Yeahh!!
These tiny pins are sealed with clear nail polish instead of the doming resin used on the bigger pieces, mainly to keep the cost (and time) down but also because the flat, almost-matte finish fits really neatly with my idea of a shy, retiring little toadstool hiding out in the leaf litter.

I’ve been looking forward to Naomi’s shop opening for ages and just look at it!!!! So cute.
